Having had years of lugging a heavy 6ft projector screen around, setting the legs at the right angle, pulling the screen out attaching it to the expendable pole, making sure it's secured properly to stop it snapping shut during the presentation, the old tripod screen finally fell apart so had to buy a new one.
when I read what the weight of this screen was I was sceptical. read the reviews, purchased on 'spec', will look at it and if I dont like it I can send it back, attitude.
dear friends, this is the best screen I have ever owned, it is light to carry, has a handle to do it with. It all slides into a contained box, it has two feet which flip out to stabalise it, no more adjusting the legs on a projector screen with a mind of its own. The extendable pole to lift the screen up is user friendly, and when packing away it takes moments not the 20 minutes it used to take with my old screen. Plus it is easy to carry even though its actually 6ft long. Brilliant, dont waste your money on any other projector,

Hi i currently use this screen, and i have to say it meets all my expectations. It surface gives very bright vibrant colours, It is very easy to put up, a good size and light for portability. I use it primarily to watch films, tv programs and play games and it works well for all of these things.

I am really impressed with this screen. Great quality and I love the way it is so easily put up and down. Much more sturdy than the tripod ones. Would definitely recommend!

The product arrived promptly, and it popped out just like it should. All would have been great, apart from that they were seriously creased. How can you sell a green screen product that is creased? We bought the two backgrounds for a last minute shoot, when we told the seller that they were creased and needed an immediate response, the delayed response simply said: Sorry, we'll give you a refund. We didn't want a refund, we just wanted a working product.

As an ex professional photographer, too many people underestimate "camera Shake"
look at any television programme or movie, if you have a camcorder you already know what I mean. Same with stills, either a flash to "freeze" the shot, very fast shutter speed to do the same. OR the biggest heaviest tripod you can carry.
Well this comes under the last catagory,for people travelling abroad in particular. It's a "compromise" size and weight,but has to be the best travelling tripod around.
Its strong well made and you can carry it all day without cursing. Then when you have that particular beautiful sunset, the perfect tool to get that PIN SHARP shot.

I have just purchased this tripod and am extremely happy with it. My only two small reservations for not giving it a five star rating are the absence of an onboard spirit level and the fact that it is a little lightweight! I shoot DV of railway subjects and need a tripod which can pan slowly and without juddering. The pan action on this is absolutely wonderful. It is beautifully smooth. Given the fast moving nature of my subjects a tripod also needs to be capable of sitting on one spot without being blown away, hence my comment about the weight. However, for the money, this little beauty pretty much fits the bill perfectly. The build quality is absolutely superb and the fact that the tripod fits into less than eighteen inches when collapsed make it ideal for my needs. If you are looking for a tripod which will assist you to take the shots you want to take rather than putting up with the results of a cheaper alternative I heartily recommend this one. Well done Velbon!

I already own a Velbon CX 530 tripod but I wanted a more compact one that would easily fit into a backpack or, if strapped on the outside, would not be gigantic and unwieldy. Having searched the web and looked at a variety of options, including Slik, Manfrotto and Giotto, I chose this one. I found several reviews from professional photographers who were impressed with its sturdiness and I also wanted one that would be under 45 cm folded and over 140 cm extended. It's a lot to ask for because common sense says that the smaller it is folded, the less it will be when extended, but Velbon have excelled themselves with their four-section trunnion leg system and a centre column which gives just under 43 cm folded and 158 cm extended. The feet of each leg have a rubber cup which can be screwed in to allow a spike to extend and the pan and tilt head is an absolute joy. It's reasonably lightweight (2.6 lbs - 1.2 kg) and looks great. Top marks to Velbon for this little beauty!

I bought the Lensbaby for a bit of fun, not really sure what to expect. I have a Canon 60D, so not full frame, so I feel I should point out now that if you're not using a full frame sensor you won't get the full fisheye circle. My partner has a 5D and they get the full circle effect on theirs. Also, this is only 160 degree optic whereas most serious fisheyes are 180, so you don't get quite the same effect that you do with a top of the range lens.

It all sounds a bit of faff changing the F-Stop by taking out the optic and putting in the relevant f-stop disc and replacing the optic, but actually I find it really easy and not too inconvenient. If I'm out and about with the optic I tend to just choose one mid-range like F11 to use for most shots and only changing it if I want to do a landscape or something.

Focussing is a little bit tricky and I have found that the in camera exposure meter is almost irrelevant, there's a little bit of trial and error to get it right, There's a tendency for it picture to be over-exposed when the meter reading says it's fine, or even if you take it up on the shutter speed. You will need to play about with this to get used to it. However the more you play with it the easier this all becomes.

With that said, this lens is great fun and since buying it I have added some other optics and will get a couple more to have a play with. Ranging from £26 - £100 for the extra optics it does make these an easy purchase to justify once you have bought the actual lensbaby scout. Most of the effects can be done in Photoshop or other editing software, but there is something fun about producing the effect straight on the camera. I wouldn't necessarily take these on a shoot to a Wedding or event for work, but as something to play with I do like them. Is this a replacement for the quality of a £500+ Fisheye, no, but if you're like me and can't justify that kind of money on a lens then this is definitely a fun alternative and does produce good results.

I purchased this item becuase I needed wirefree connectivity and I must say that I just popped this in my printer and it connected first time. I am out and about a lot and have used this frequently without any problems at all. I would certainly recommend this item to anyone who does not want wires everwere! Hence I also purchased a battery pack for my printer too (Canon ip100).

Finally, it is not cheap but well worth the money. I can't provide any faults at all.

This is a fine circular polariser - very expensive but does a good job, is neat, has a nice quality feel and comes with it's own handy and compact perspex case. I use it with my Sony Alpha 200 DLSR and the lens cap fits just fine over it. My only complaint is that I can't use it with my Cokin P Mount because it is so thin it doesn't have any threads on the outside that I can attach the Cokin adapter ring to. On the other hand there's no vignetting which I suppose is the point of it being so slim! Does it really need to be this expensive though given the much lower price of other circular polarisers out there?
Would be interested to see if they will follow this with coloured polarisers to compete with Singh-Ray...
